About Beit-CURE Children’s Hospital of Malawi

Beit-CURE Children’s Hospital of Malawi has been a place of hope since opening its doors in 2002. Ours is the only hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa recognized by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Located in Blantyre, our teaching hospital has 58 beds, three operating theaters, and an out-patient clinic. In addition to performing 2,500+ life-changing reconstructive and orthopedic surgeries each year at no cost to patients, we minister to the emotional and spiritual needs of our patients and their communities.

Beit-CURE Malawi is a Level 5 accredited hospital with SafeCare which recognizes the regular monitoring and implementation of treatment guidelines and standard operating procedures and is a facility that has encouraged and demonstrated a culture of quality in everything they do. Level 5 is the highest level awarded.
SafeCare standards are internationally recognized and accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care External Evaluation Association (IEEA).

Medical Services

Our hospital provides diagnostic exams, pre- and post-op evaluations, medications, lodging for patients and caregivers, assistive devices like wheelchairs and crutches, physical therapies, biblical counseling, and more.

Before Surgery

Compassionate care begins before surgery with a complete medical exam, education and counseling for patients and families, and even time for fun and play.

Surgical Care

Every life-changing surgery performed by world-class surgeons to heal treatable conditions like clubfoot, cleft palate, or bowed legs begins with prayer.

After Surgery

Healing continues with post-op evaluations, physiotherapy, counseling, rehab services, assistive devices, and time for play and learning about God’s love.

"Life-altering services are being offered here at Beit-CURE. God bless you abundantly. Be assured of our support."
Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda | Minster of Health
"Surgical quality should be the same regardless of nationality, private or public funding, or the economic status of patients. We all deserve good care, so having quality standardized across borders, as demonstrated by CURE International, creates equity and assures patient safety. There is no doubt that CURE hospitals are committed to creating a positive impact in communities."
Millicent Olulo | Regional Director at SafeCare
