Beit-CURE Children’s Hospital of Malawi has been a place of hope since opening its doors in 2002. Ours is the only hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa recognized by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Located in Blantyre, our teaching hospital has 58 beds, three operating theaters, and an out-patient clinic. In addition to performing 2,500+ life-changing reconstructive and orthopedic surgeries each year at no cost to patients, we minister to the emotional and spiritual needs of our patients and their communities.
Beit-CURE Malawi has been awarded SafeCare Level 5 accreditation, the highest distinction for consistently implementing treatment guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Our hospital provides diagnostic exams, pre- and post-op evaluations, medications, lodging for patients and caregivers, assistive devices like wheelchairs and crutches, physical therapies, biblical counseling, and more.
Compassionate care begins before surgery with a complete medical exam, education and counseling for patients and families, and even time for fun and play.
Every life-changing surgery performed by world-class surgeons to heal treatable conditions like clubfoot, cleft palate, or bowed legs begins with prayer.
Healing continues with post-op evaluations, physiotherapy, counseling, rehab services, assistive devices, and time for play and learning about God’s love.
Our in-patient clinics provide consultations for pre-surgical evaluation and post-surgical follow up—free of charge—to children with treatable orthopedic and reconstructive plastic disabilities.
