CURE Malawi History

CURE Malawi is a leader in providing orthopedic and reconstructive surgeries for Malawi’s estimated 480,000 children suffering with treatable conditions like clubfoot, knock knees, bowed legs, and burn contractures. Through generous support from our partners, we can provide medical care at no cost to our patients and their families.

Established in 2002

Located in Blantyre, our teaching hospital comprises 58 beds and three operating theaters that serve children suffering from treatable disabilities. In addition to world-class clinical service, CURE Malawi ministers to the emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their communities. The Beit Trust, a UK-based charity, provided the initial funding for this facility as a gift to the people of Malawi.

We celebrate God’s provision this year. CURE Malawi has provided 8,345 outpatient visits, performed 2,500+ life-changing surgeries, provided 32 training events for healthcare professionals, and shared the gospel and the love of Jesus with over 52,000 people!
