What conditions does Beit-CURE Children's Hospital of Malawi treat?

CURE Malawi provides medical care for all children living with treatable disabilities regardless of economic status, ethnicity or religion. Click here to see the types of conditions we treat.

Beit-CURE is a children’s orthopedic and plastic surgery hospital that provides holistic services for the following conditions:

Bowed legs, burn contractures, cleft lip/palate, clubfoot, knock knees, osteogenesis imperfect (brittle bones), untreated trauma, and windswept legs.

How can local organizations or community members partner with Beit-CURE Children's Hospital of Malawi?

All medical care is provided through the generous contributions of CURE donors, our non-profit partners, and insurance programs. Children will be treated by our clinical team without charge or debt created, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or economic status.

Our clinical and ministry staff travel to areas beyond our hospitals to:

  • Find and refer children in remote areas for treatment at CURE hospitals.
  • Educate healthcare workers, pastors and churches, political authorities, and partner organizations who are active at the community level and able to effect change.

How much does treatment cost at Beit-CURE Children's Hospital of Malawi?

While treatment can vary in cost and can be expensive, the patient does not have to pay for Beit-CURE’s services. All medical care is provided through the generous contributions of CURE donors, our non-profit partners, and insurance programs. Children are treated by our clinical team without charge or debt created, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or economic status.

What is your location and operating hours?

Hospital Address: Chipatala Avenue, Blantyre, Malawi

  • Monday & Tuesday: Pediatric Clinic 8:00 am – 1:00 pm
  • Wednesday: Plastics 8:30 am -1:00 pm
  • Thursday: Clubfoot Clinic 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

If you were seen at a mobile clinic, please bring the form given to you. Children needing a consultation can walk in during clinic hours at our hospital located in Blantyre.

Do you still treat adults?
The discontinuation of adult medical services will allow the hospital to perform more services for more children, including plastic reconstructive operations. The change also aligns the hospital with CURE International’s seven other hospitals serving children with treatable disabilities across Africa and the Philippines.
We refer adults needing care to Mwaiwathu Private Hospital at Old Chileka Road, Blantyre, Malawi.
